His words are LIFE…Rivers of Life

Standard

I stood watering my plants and flowers in the morning sun, and in the morning silence I heard His voice say, “As my Word is spoken and goes forth LIFE will come forth…rivers of life….the very same  resurrection power that rose Jesus from the dead!” Wow! Hallelujah!

What a magnificent day this has been. It isn’t because I did anything in particular to bring this about, no quite the contrary, I don’t think what I’m feeling has anything to do with me at all… it was a gift from heaven above. I felt ‘lifted up’, brighter and happier. Somebody must be praying for me! Felt a lot like tubing down the Guadalupe, floating on top of the  flowing river. Ahh, its a good feeling.

Gratefully I receive this refreshing and joyfully I purpose to let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable and pleasing… in His sight singing songs of  His goodness and faithfulness this day. When’s the last time you let yourself go there? Lately, the Lord has been schooling me in the vital importance of getting His Word deep inside me.  Walking out our relationship with Christ is seen by what we do and…by what we say. LIFE and death are in the power of our tongue but do we believe it? Have you ever felt the awesome feeling of being loved and apppreciated? It’s wonderful! Have you ever been cut down by someones words? Man, it hurts!  We have all been there, done that, have the T Shirt and wer’e writing the book, right?!   I think we have all been the recepient and the instigator of  mispoken words. But here God is saying that rivers of LIFE , life giving power, will flow…when we speak ‘His Word’.  Guaranteed! I like those odds 🙂   Are you up for the challenge?  Are there sorrows and hinderances in your life? Do you have any problems? Are things working out managing life in your strength and your abilities?  I invite you to consider trying life God’s way, instead of speaking the worst thing that could happen, speak what God says about it then see if it doesn’t change your life.

Today I am daring myself and you to jump in the stream, to speak His Word over what concerns you. Start with something small…instead of saying something like, “I know tomorrow is going to be a bad day”, say, “I know I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me and He knows the plans He has for me, plans not to harm me but  to give me hope and a future”. Then, the next day, when you are faced with difficult circumstances, say those Scriptures again and again and then again, until they become a part of you. You will no longer be cursing your life, but you will be standing in agreement with His Blessing which is already in exsistence, just waiting for you.   Isa. 55:11 paraphrased, His Word will accomplish what pleases Him and will prosper in the thing for which He sends it. God cannot lie my friend, He is pure love and pure Truth and we can depend on Him. He wants the best for YOU! And how can God bring life into our lives if we are filled with unbelief and our mouths are filled with curses instead of blessing? Speaking His Word, LIFE will come forth!

Prayer: Thank you Lord for Your Word, the Holy Bible and for reminding us how important and vital it is, that we speak Your word in response to all of our situations. Let us sit humbly and circumspect examining our own hearts, and if we find any bitterness or hatred, I thank you Lord, that You are faithful to forgive us and cleanse us from all our unrighteousness. I pray that the body of Christ will be set free from the bondages of their own tongues and that healthy habits will be developed instead. Bless each person that is reading this blog today, bless them Lord, lead them to Your word, teach them your Word,  refresh them and may Psalm 107:35 (see below)be theirs in Jesus Name. Amen!

Psam 107:35 He turned the desert into pools of water and the parched ground into flowing springs.

Prov. 4:22 For His words are LIFE unto those who find them and health to all their flesh.

Isa 55:11 So shall My Word be that goes forth from My mouth. It shall not return void but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Happy tubing!
